Vacancies are advertised through multiple channels, including the UKSW website, the Public Information Bulletin (BIP), EURAXESS, and discipline-specific job portals. Job advertisements remain published for at least 30 days to ensure equal access to information for all interested candidates.

Each recruitment procedure consists of three stages:
– verification of formal eligibility requirements,
– assessment of the required qualifications,
– qualitative evaluation based on a points system in the areas of research, teaching, organisational activities, and cooperation, in accordance with the level and requirements of the position concerned.

Recruitment committees are composed of individuals with the appropriate expertise, and each committee member is required to declare the absence of any conflict of interest. Candidates receive feedback after key stages of the recruitment process, and the entire process is documented.

We are committed to ensuring that candidates applying to UKSW are fully informed about the recruitment process, understand the requirements of the position, and can be confident that their applications will be assessed fairly and objectively.

The OTM-R principles at UKSW serve as a reference framework for recruitment practices and are communicated to all individuals involved in recruitment processes. Their implementation is subject to ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement, particularly with regard to transparency and the equal treatment of candidates.

We invite you to learn more about our OTM-r Policy here.

Recruitment Meetings

As part of the recruitment process, selected candidates are invited to a short meeting during which they have the opportunity to present their strengths, achievements, and approach to their work, including teaching, research, and cooperation with others. The meeting also provides an opportunity to get to know us, explore the prospective work environment, and determine whether UKSW offers a suitable setting for professional development.

We seek individuals who value respect, responsibility, openness, and cooperation, which are core values shared across our academic community. We aim to work with people who are passionate about their work, contribute to a positive working atmosphere, and support the quality of education and research carried out at the University.

We believe that our motto, “We Know You Matter,” applies not only to our students but also to those who join the UKSW community. For this reason, the interview constitutes an important element of the assessment of candidates’ competencies, alongside the evaluation of application documents and other assessment methods used by the recruitment committee.

OTM-R Policy for the Recruitment of Academic Staff How We Recruit The recruitment of academic staff at UKSW is conducted through an open and transparent recruitment process.
