On June 13, 2024, at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of UKSW, joint discussions were held between the Dean’s Authorities and the Directorate of the Institute of Political Science and Administration with a visiting delegation from the Faculty of European Studies at the University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania.
Our guests were Prof. Adrian Corpadean (Dean of the Faculty of European Studies) and Dr. Dorin Dobra. The discussions were also attended by Dr. hab. Maciej Gdula – Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, and Dr. hab. Anna Fidelus, prof. ucz. – Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education at UKSW. During the meeting, a declaration was signed to establish a joint English-language Master’s program in the field of Cultural Diplomacy and International Relations, leading to a double degree.
The origins of the University of Cluj-Napoca date back to 1581, when Stefan Batory founded a Jesuit college. In 1959, the Romanian Babeș University merged with the Hungarian Bolyai University, creating the Babeș-Bolyai University. Today, the University of Cluj-Napoca is the largest academic center in Romania and one of the most prestigious scientific centers in Central and Eastern Europe.
The Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at UKSW in Warsaw has established cooperation with the Faculty of European Studies at the University of Cluj-Napoca based on an international agreement.
