Institute of Biological Sciences

The Institute of Biological Sciences operates at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Sciences.

The strategic goal of the UKSW Institute of Biological Sciences is to conduct scientific research at the highest level. The scientific achievements of UKSW biologists are recognized by prestigious international scientific bodies.

The research projects undertaken at the Institute are in line with the trends of scientific research conducted around the world. Research works are carried out according to the substantive scopes of the departments existing at the institute, as well as in interdisciplinary teams (e.g. biotechnology), bringing together specialists in engineering, microbiology and genetics.

The employees of the unit cooperate with recognized research and scientific institutes in the country and abroad. They also conduct research commissioned by enterprises and external institutions.
