Adaptation workshops for ERASMUS+ students

On October 8, 2024, the UKSW Welcome Centre organized Adaptation Workshops for international students participating in the Erasmus+ program. At the beginning of the event, the Welcome Centre Coordinator, Ms. Danuta Kosińska, welcomed all participants and presented the agenda.

The workshops were divided into two parts.

The first part was led by Dr. Vira Neszew, Head of the Polish Language School and Polish Culture for Foreigners at UKSW. She introduced students to basic phrases in Polish, presented profiles of famous Poles, and shared some interesting facts about the Polish language.

In the second part, Mr. Marcin Miłko from the Faculty of Humanities at UKSW discussed cultural aspects of life in Poland and functioning at the university. He addressed questions such as: What are the most important Polish holidays? What are traditional Polish meals? How do Poles spend their free time? What does the calendar of major events at UKSW look like? Students received answers to these questions and many others during the adaptation workshops.

The project was funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange as part of the “Welcome to Poland” program (2022).
