Alexandra “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași (Romania)

I started studying in UKSW in the winter semester of 2021/22 during my bachelor studies. After successfully passing the study session, I returned back to Romania and I missed UKSW and Poland so much that I started following polish language classes and attended every cultural event that Związek Polaków w Rumunii held.

Three years later, during my master’s degree I was once again given the opportunity to study within an Erasmus program and I chose UKSW without hesitation. My experience here was beyond my expectations. During this semester I was able to improve my linguisting skills in Polish and follow some of the most interesting courses that I did not have in my country. This experience gave me the opportunity to be welcomed in an international and multi cultural collective ( the other erasmus students) and also in the collective of Polish students. Attending all the courses showed me how the subjects directly related to my field of studies are being taught in Poland, from organizational matters to new perspectives. As an international student, you are in a constant state of comparison between your home university and host university, which is really inspiring.

I will be forever grateful for choosing Poland once and I will also be forever grateful for choosing UKSW once again. This experince left an important impact on my personal and academical development. I highly recommend UKSW as a welcoming environment to further Erasmus students who are considering comming.
