More than 100 international students from 9 countries and as many as 44 partner universities will study at UKSW during the winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
“I am delighted that this semester we are able to welcome such a large group of international students to the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. Thank you for choosing our University and for deciding to make UKSW a part of your academic journey. I hope that your stay in Warsaw, your time at UKSW, and your experience of discovering Poland will be a unique and inspiring experience for you. I wish you the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience here, make many new friends, and, above all, enjoy a wonderful time at our University and in Poland. I warmly welcome you to the UKSW academic community,” emphasizes Fr. Prof. Ryszard Czekalski, PhD, DSc, Rector of UKSW.

Students from Germany, Spain, Slovakia, Portugal, France, Italy, Türkiye, Romania and Bulgaria have joined our University. The largest groups will study at the Faculty of Law and Administration, the Faculty of Psychology, the Faculty of Medicine – Collegium Medicum, and the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences.
The arrival of international students is an excellent opportunity to promote the University and the city as places open to international academic cooperation.
“We are proud and happy that you have chosen our University. We hope you have a rewarding and enriching time at our University said Aleksandra Zając, Director of the UKSW International Cooperation Office, during the Welcome Meeting. “The doors of the Welcome Centre and the International Cooperation Office are always open to you. We will do our best to support you throughout your Erasmus+ mobility at our University. I encourage you to take an active part in university life and participate in activities organized by the UKSW Welcome Centre.”

During the Welcome Meeting, our international guests learned about the rules and procedures related to studying at UKSW as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
The meeting also included a guided tour of the Wóycicki Campus, a presentation on the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warstw and the activities of the Erasmus Student Network, as well as visits to the International Cooperation Office and the Welcome Centre.
The UKSW Welcome Centre has been operating at UKSW since September 2023. It is responsible for supporting the stay of international students, doctoral candidates and academic staff at the University. International guests and students at UKSW can count not only on assistance with administrative matters, but also on support throughout the entire process of adapting to life at UKSW. The Welcome Centre staff also organize events aimed at fostering the integration of international students into our akademii community.

The international students will also be supported by the UKSW Erasmus Student Network, which is part of Erasmus Student Network International, an international organization bringing together members from 42 countries. The UKSW section has been supporting international students at the University for nineteen years. It organizes a rang of social and cultural activities, including group outings and trips.
“As representatives of the Erasmus Student Network, we want international students to feel at home at our University and make lasting friendships here,” said Wojciech Tomczak, President of the Student Network UKSW. “We want to introduce them to Polish culture, customs and traditions. We strive to organize a variety of events that offer opportunities for learning, having fun and building connections, including with UKSW students.”

Amirreza, Faculty of Medicine, University of Padua: I chose Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Poland because of its reputation for practical medical education and the opportunity to gain clinical experience at an early stage of my studies.
My first impressions have been very positive. Warsaw is a wonderful, well-organized city with plenty of green spaces, and the University itself feels modern, innovative and, most importantly, exceptionally welcoming. I have also been very impressed by the support offered to international students. The staff at the UKSW Welcome Centre were extremely helpful at the beginning of my stay, providing guidance and support whenever I needed it and making me feel at home at the University from the very beginning.
I hope to gain as much knowledge and valuable academic and clinical experience as possible during my stay. At the same time, I am eager to discover Polish culture and learn more about the country. Knowing that Poland has such a remarkable literary tradition – including five Nobel Prize winners in Literature – is a great motivation for me to spend my free afternoons in Warsaw’s cosy cafés and discover the masterpieces of Polish literature.

Dina, Institute of Political Sciences and Administration, Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava:I was looking for a change, a new environment and an opportunity to gain a new kind of international experience, and Poland and UKSW seemed like the right choice. Although I have only been in Warsaw for a few days, I already really like the city and its atmosphere. Everything is still new and unfamiliar, yet exciting, and the warm welcome I received at UKSW has made the beginning of my stay much easier. I am looking forward to the months ahead: meeting new people, discovering Warsaw and Polish culture, experiencing student life at UKSW and, of course, learning and growing both academically and personally.

Ivan, Faculty of Medicine, University of Turin: Warsaw is a beautiful city, and from the very beginning I have felt truly welcome here – both by the UKSW Welcome Centre and the ESN UKSW team, who have always been well prepared and ready to offer support whenever needed. As a medical student, I am particularly interested in learning how public healthcare systems operate in different countries. I am very grateful to UKSW for the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the Polish healthcare system and to broaden my academic and international experience.
