Welcome Meeting for incoming Erasmus+ exchange students was held on 14.02.2024. At the beginning, Director of the International Relations Office welcomed those present at the meeting, introduced the team and the agenda of the meeting.
Then the students took part in a tour of the Wóycicki Campus, during which we showed the library, dean’s offices, the canteen, the Welcome Center, the Medical Faculty of the Medical College, bus stops, the Sports Hall, the Kindergarten and the buildings where the students will take classes.
After the campus tour mrs Mariola Młodnicka, University Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Programme, presented information on the educational process for incoming students at UKSW, i.e. the rules of studying under the Erasmus+ programme, issues concerning the most important documents, student ID cards and much more.
After the presentation on the procedures for studying at UKSW under the Erasmus+ Programme, the floor was taken by ms Danuta Kosinska from the UKSW Welcome Centre, where she presented the students with some important information about Poland, Warsaw and our University. She also talked about the UKSW Welcome Centre initiative, with special emphasis on the forms of support offered to foreign students, i.e. issues related to accommodation, health care, legalization of stay, as well as the adaptation process in Poland and at the University.
In the last part of the meeting spoke representatives of the Erasmus Student Network UKSW Association – the largest student organization in Europe working on behalf of foreign students. Section Chair – Stefania Kazakova – talked about the activities of volunteers, including the flagship Mentor programme, and introduced the Association’s Board of Directors, while Board Member for Projects Annamaria Kurczak presented the plan of integration events dedicated to foreign students.
At the end, we went for lunch together.
