HRS4R Action Areas

1. Ethical and professional aspects

We promote high-quality research through:
– the Code of Ethics for Researchers at UKSW (2026), setting standards of integrity, publication ethics, data protection, and the responsible use of AI;
– a two-tier system of Research Ethics Committees (2024 and 2025);
– regulations governing the use of AI tools in teaching and research (2024).

2. Recruitment and selection

Recruitment of academic staff at UKSW is conducted in a manner that is:
open, transparent, based on clearly defined criteria.

Each recruitment process includes:
– verification of formal requirements,
– assessment of qualifications,
– a points-based qualitative evaluation in the areas of research, teaching, organisational activities, and cooperation, in accordance with the level of the position.

Candidates receive feedback, and members of recruitment committees submit declarations confirming the absence of any conflict of interest. The entire process is documented using standardised forms.

3. Working conditions

UKSW provides a safe, supportive, and modern working environment through:

– activities of the Doctoral School;

– the Webinar Library and HReporter as a part of the new communication system.
