Young Philosophers’ Academy
The Young Philosophers’ Academy is an initiative of the academic staff, doctoral students and students of the Institute of Philosophy of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University which offers philosophical workshops for secondary school students. These workshops aim at showing young people the role of philosophy in contemporary culture, bringing out their own philosophical interests and helping them understand the foundations of culture and history.
Until now 6 editions of the Academy have taken place:
- Is Philosophy useless?
- Money can’t make you happy and what about philosophy?
- Investigating evil.
- The Philosophy of love.
- Philosophical fitness.
- On books and manuscripts.

University comes to school
Since the academic year 2012/2014 the lecturers of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw have been conducting lessons in Warsaw’s secondary schools. Students have the opportunity to have a taste of a lecture hall without leaving their classroom. The lessons cover topics such as law, humanities, history and social studies. It’s an exceptional opportunity to have a discussion on an academic level.
In the current academic year we have expanded our offer of outreach lessons to math and science. There are more than 60 topics to choose from.
