Admissions to doctoral studies

Admission of foreigners

Candidates for doctoral studies of nationality other than Polish must address the Education Department (Dewajtis 5, room no. 038; 561 89 07), prior to submitting their documents in order to obtain an attestation on the basis on which they can be accepted to doctoral studies.

General provisions 

• Enrolment is  carried out on a competition basis
• Enrolment is  carried out by  the faculty admission committees appointed by a dean of the given faculty (separate for each scientific area in which doctoral studies are organized);
• The dates and conditions of enrolment are publicly announced in the form of written information displayed in the seat of the faculty as well as on  the website  from 30 April 2015. The date of enrolment and the place of document submission is determined by the dean;
• Doctoral studies are intended for candidates  holding a  magister or its equivalent (such as a Master’s degree).

Two stages of enrolment

• Online Candidate registration
• Analysis of submitted documents, interview with the candidate conducted by the faculty admissions committee.

• Candidates for doctoral studies at UKSW  should  register through the Online Candidate Registration (“Intenetowa Rejestracja Kandydatów -IRK”) which can be found at www.studiadoktoranckie.uksw.edu.pl
• The Candidate is required to:
  • upload  a picture in colour (identity card type), of the following dimensions:  35×45 mm  and  300 dpi, after logging in into an account in the OnlineCandidate Registration,
  • fill in the personal data and supply any other  required information,
  • print and  sign an official request to be admitted  for doctoral studies and  then submit it with other required documents to the faculty admissions committee,
  • print and sign the application for  Electronic PhD Student Card (Elektroniczna Legitymacja Doktoranta – ELD) and submit it together with a payment confirmation of 10 zloty to the faculty admission committee
