First-Cycle & Long-cycle Studies

First-Cycle Studies

are designed for candidates holding a certificate of secondary education completion. Graduates are awarded with the professional title of licencjat (equivalent to Bachelor of Arts) or inżynier (equivalent to Bachelor of Engineering). Following the defence of their diploma, the graduate of the first- cycle studies  gains a vocational qualification diploma.
Bachelor studies last at least six semesters, and bachelor engineering studies at least seven semesters. Graduates of these studies have the possibility to continue at the second cycle studies.

Long-cycle studies

are designed for candidates holding a certificate of secondary education completion. Graduates obtain the professional title of magister (equivalent to Master of Arts), magister inżynier ( equivalent to Master of Science) or their equivalent. Depending on the field of study they last 5-6 years. Graduates of these studies have the possibility to continue at doctoral studies.

The UKSW offers degree programmes at 31 fields of study in the scope of the first cycle and 4 fields of study in the scope of long-cycle studies. More information is available at Admissions
